The Holy month of Ramadan is over and in many muslim countries it’s already the beginning of Eid-ul-Fitr Celebrations.The day marking the completion of the holy month of Ramadan, when muslims around the world wear new clothes, serve sweets ,cook meals, invites and go to meet their families. Those who are living abroad and incapable of physically meeting their families and friends, they make sure to send messages and make calls to wish each other over the phone.A joyous occasion indeed.

Around the world this day is celebrated differently, according to the culture of the land ,but some things are common, from having sweets served in abundance to wearing new clothes, going to offer Eid prayers, meeting the family and visiting the relatives, the elders giving money to the youngers ,are some common tradions of the day.Eid-ul-fitr is called sweet & sugary eid , as on Eid-Ul-Adha , more focus is on the meat and all the foods one can prepare with a lamb and beef ,but this eid is about desserts and delights.

One must not forget the importance of charity, as the holy month of Ramadan is intended to teach us empathy and compassion, which we must continue to practice in our lives, especially on the blissful occasion of Eid. When the poors and needy must be helped by those who are financially able to help. As this worldly life is nothing but a temporary enjoyment, and the rewards we earn here are the only investment that will help us in the afterlife. One must seek the rewards and cease every opportunity, as this beautiful day is full of happiness and joy, at the same time it offers us an opportunity to earn rewards aswell.As the Quran says ,”You will not attain righteousness till you spend in charity of the things you love.” [Chapter 3, verse 92].

Never forget your friends and relatives you’re not speaking to,  as this occasion is to bring the believers together and share their joy, the aim of boot camp of Ramadan is proven to be fulfilled when we keep purifying our hearts and souls even after this month says us good bye. So dear reader! I wish you a happy Eid ,May you have a tummy full of sweets , your day full of laughters and hugs of your loved ones.
