Between the two sides, I mean between America, Israel and the resistance in Gaza, there are two battles: The first is the battle of the war of annihilation and the second is the battle of negotiation, and as painful as the first is for the people and resistance in Gaza, the second is also painful for Israel and America.
How?
Despite the passage of nearly a year since the war of annihilation in Gaza, and despite the use by America, Israel and others of all means of killing, destruction, prohibited weapons, starvation and siege, the resistance in Gaza did not surrender, and remained steadfast and firm in its position on its terms of negotiation. This is what neither Netanyahu nor Biden nor others with hands stained with the blood of innocent children, women and the elderly expected.
The resistance in Gaza has practically enshrined the well-known saying, “Whoever starts a war is not necessarily able to stop or end it.” Great America now expresses its regret that Hamas did not respond to the American proposals, or American amendments, to the project to stop the war of annihilation.
Negotiations have become rounds, proposals, projects and capitals, and despite all the pressures on the resistance in Gaza in the field and in the corridors of politics and international relations, it has not surrendered, nor has it succumbed.
What is noteworthy is that the resistance in Gaza is invited to negotiate indirectly and through intermediaries not only with Israel, but also with Israel and America, as one party! This means that America has never been a neutral mediator, not biased towards Israel, and not an impartial mediator throughout the years of the Arab-Israeli conflict.
Both of them (America and Israel) have a black history, not only in committing crimes and massacres against peoples, but also in negotiations, where they use it as a means to deceive, mislead and gain time, and even if negotiations with them culminate in an agreement or treaty, it is rare for them to adhere to the terms and conditions of what they agreed upon.
The Oslo Accords of 1993, between the Palestinian Authority, Israel and America, under international and UN auspices, are a good example of this, where, three decades after the agreements were concluded, Israel, with the support of America, did the opposite of what was agreed upon. Instead of a Palestinian state, Israel slowly expanded and annexed more and more Palestinian lands, until today we witnessed an explicit and public Israeli decision by the Knesset to reject any project to establish a Palestinian state.
America did not withdraw militarily and politically from Afghanistan except by resistance, and the subject of the negotiations that took place between the Taliban movement and America in Doha in 2020 was exclusively to facilitate and ensure the safe withdrawal of American forces from Afghanistan, and it was not a negotiation to ensure or take into account America’s interests or influence in Afghanistan, it was a negotiation to arrange the defeat of American forces.
America did not abide by the terms of the international and UN nuclear agreement that it signed with Iran after long and arduous negotiations, since, as is well known, former President Trump unilaterally canceled the agreement in 2018.
What applies to America applies to Israel, whether in the heinous crimes they commit in their wars, or in their negotiations for a peace agreement or a pledge.
Certainly, the resistance in Gaza recalls the evidence of the treachery and deception of America and Israel in negotiations, commitment, withdrawal, etc… The resistance has concluded Netanyahu’s evasiveness and criminal tendency before and during the negotiations, and America’s drift and support for him, which makes the leadership of the resistance in Gaza, which is concerned with the negotiations, more cautious and careful not to become a victim of Israel’s treachery.
The repeated failure of the negotiations obliges the resistance to continue to resist with tactics suitable for a war of attrition against Israel, and this is the appropriate and exhausting weapon or answer for Israel and America.
