Amnesty International is rightfully calling out Saudi Arabia for war crimes in Yemen. These bombings took place in Sa’dah, Sana’a, Hodeidah, Hajjah, and Ibb in a very short time period. Amnesty International reported 139 people were killed in these bombings, 42 suspected “terrorist”, 97 civilians including 33 children were killed during these strikes leaving 460 individuals injured and at least 157 were civilians. This is just a small snip-it of this heinous war, where one has to ask themselves who is the real target? This war was started because a terrorist group was overthrowing the government in Yemen thus prompting Saudi Arabia’s Intervention in Yemen, but what many people in the U.S. do not know is that Iran is backing the terrorist group in Yemen with arms and manpower. This is a proxy war, you have the Yemen Hadi Government and the Saudi-led coalition supported by Somalia, United States, Eritrea, United Kingdom, France, Canada, Italy, Turkey, Marocco, Egypt, Jordan, Djibouti, Senegal, Eygpt, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Pakistan, and Sudan. Fighting the Yemen Revolutionary Committee which is supported by Iran, Iraq, China, North Korea, Russia, and Syria. The Yemenis people aren’t supported by any of these countries, they have zero compassion as to how many citizens in Yemen have been killed in the crosshairs of this inhumane game of Risk because their goal is to fight their wars in another land and that land they have chosen is in Yemen.
(Neutron Bomb Used in Yemen by Saudi Arabia)
Telling the public that Yemen is in danger from 200 Houthi Terrorist is just a way to justify the Saudi-led coalition’s genocide and war crimes on a grotesque scale in Yemen. According to the United Nations between March 2015 and March 2017 over 16,000 people have died in this war, over 10,000 of them are civilians. This war has left the country of Yemen in crisis and the children of Yemen are the ones who are suffering the most. In 2013 Yemeni school records show over 5 million children enrolled in school. Since the Civil War has now spun into some of the richest nations in the world bombing one of the poorest nations in the world, Yemen now only has 1.6 million children enrolled in school and millions of them are struggling for food and water at this present time instead of learning. Over 3,600 schools have been directly affected by this war, 68 schools are occupied by armed assailants, 240 schools have severe structural damage and another 270 are being used to house refugees. Currently, UNICEF is trying to raise money to rebuild the schools in Yemen. The Yemenis Government has said that they simply do not have the money to pay teachers or to rebuild the schools also that they don’t even have the means to print textbooks, the current government in Yemen cannot provide its citizen’s with any form of education or stability due to the Saudi-led invasion of Yemen.
Iran and Saudi Arabia fought or are currently fighting each other in Syria, Iraq, Bahrain, Lebanon, Qatar, Pakistan, Afganistan and also with certain conflicting influences in South and Central Asia. Historians are starting to compare the Iran- Saudi Arabia proxy war to a shadow-Cold War because you have Russia openly supporting the Yemen Revolutionary Committee and the United States openly supporting the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen. Dimitry Medvedev of Russia pubically once proclaimed the Iran-Saudi Arabia proxy war is a front for what he called “the New Cold War”. Vladimir Putin, Barack Obama, Donald Trump, Ali Khamenei, and King Salman are equally as responsible for the crisis in Yemen as Ansar al-Sharia, ISIL and Hassan Nasrallah. As leaders of their respective nations, they are supposed to rise above terrorism not sink to their level by raining down terror from skies of Yemen every day. ISIL brought the whole world to a pause with violent vehicle assaults in France and Spain, but in just three weeks in Yemen Saudi-led coalition bombs injured 460 people killing 97 of them and Mainstream Media refuses to report on it. It seems Mainstream Media longs to report when Muslims are involved in violent acts and loathes to report when violent acts are committed against Muslims.
Saudi Arabia’s Wahhabi and support of known terrorist groups like The Muslim Brotherhood should be clear red flags to our elected officials that Saudi Arabia is the worlds number one exporter of terrorism in the world and they are not our allies. I would suggest to our elected officials and to the world that the citizens of Yemen are our allies not Iran or Saudi Arabia nor any of the other countries mentioned in this article. Operation Yemen is dedicated to making those responsible for the crisis in Yemen to reap what they sow and to raising awareness to the atrocities in Yemen, I proudly stand with the citizens of Yemen and I hope you will too.
