A week after Ukrainian forces entered Russian territory and penetrated into the Kursk region, President Putin appears to be facing three challenges: The first challenge is realistic and material, and the second and third challenges are virtual and moral challenges, but they are no less important than the first challenge, and President Putin may rely on them in the face of the first challenge.
The first challenge is the liberation of Russian territory, and for the first time since the start of the war, we are talking about the Ukrainian occupation of Russian territory, and the liberation of Russian territory, which, of course, has major repercussions on the Russian leadership, the Russian people, and Russia’s status and prestige.
The Ukrainian penetration of Russian territory puts those who follow the course of the war between them, especially the states, in front of questions and conclusions: A flaw in Russian defensive weapons or in Russian defense capabilities? Or a superior offensive qualitative weapon in the Ukrainian forces, which is (and I mean the weapon) American and German?
Were the Russian leaders (political and military) deceived by the Ukrainian president’s speech in mid-July, which was characterized by a conciliatory but surrendering speech, and by Ukraine’s endeavor towards China and begging it to find a solution to the war, an endeavor that was materialized by the visit of the Ukrainian foreign minister at the end of late July to China? late July to China? Did Russia think it was impossible for the Ukrainian army, which faces a lack of numbers and equipment, and Western and NATO statements to reduce financial and military aid, to dare to attack and succeed in making a significant incursion deep into Russian territory?
How does China today think about Ukraine’s military action, which is completely contrary to the purpose of its foreign minister’s visit to China to ask for its mediation in ending the war?
Perhaps, China understands and is convinced of what Ukraine will offer to it, in the hour of reproach, from the pretext of saying “we want to improve the terms of negotiations between us and Russia”. !
Zelensky used the trick of “negotiation, cessation of war, peace, etc…” while at the same time he is preparing for a ground offensive to penetrate into Russian territory, the same method used by America and Israel in their dealings in the genocidal war in Gaza, deluding the world and public opinion that they seek to negotiate and make a deal to stop the war, but at the same time they commit horrible massacres, one after the other.
A trio of Zionist and Nazi ideology.
It is not Ukraine or the Ukrainian army that is now occupying Russian territory, but the United States and NATO forces, i.e. expertise, advice, weapons, and even NATO fighters
The US administration did not hide its satisfaction with the Ukrainian incursion into Russian territory, and considered it a legitimate right to defend Ukraine, and this American and Western position further provokes the Russian president, and pushes him to implement what he promised to do in case Russian security, Russian territory and Russian sovereignty are endangered. He threatened, when the US administration announced months ago its intention to provide the Ukrainian army with qualitative strategic weapons, to use nuclear deterrence, and he also threatened to provide America’s enemies and opponents with a strategic weapon, in the event that America provides the Ukrainian army with a strategic weapon. These two threats (nuclear deterrence and equipping America’s enemies in the region with strategic weapons) are the two challenges before President Putin, who promised us one or both of them when Russian sovereignty and Russian territory are threatened. What is more dangerous to Russian sovereignty than the occupation?
The Russian president has apparently carried out what he promised by providing America’s rivals in the region with the weapons they need to annoy the Americans and Israel. He sent his chief of staff to Iran, and reports indicate that Iran is already equipped with strategic and advanced military equipment, and the armed resistance factions in Syria have begun to increase their activity and bombardment of US bases and loyal SDF forces east of the Euphrates in Syria.
Cooperation between Russia and Iran has become strategic and in the nuclear field, and Iranian nuclear facilities have come under the control and protection of Russian monitoring and defense systems. We can now talk about a broad Russian-Iranian axis that includes countries, movements and factions that are hostile to Zionism and American ambitions in the Middle East, and Russia today is almost more impulsive and aspiring even than Iran in building, activating and expanding this axis.
Among the results of Russia’s large and rapid turn towards the axis of resistance is the refusal of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar to return to negotiations with the occupying entity, which angered America before Israel, and Sinwar is very right in his refusal to negotiate, especially after the dawn prayer massacre committed by the enemy, which killed hundreds of martyrs and wounded. It is not right to continue negotiating while the Zionist enemy continues its war of extermination and assassinations.
Will we witness a quick evacuation of the US forces from east of the Euphrates in Syria, in anticipation of what Russia will do to support and empower the armed factions fighting the US forces and the SDF?
This is what we are witnessing now and we expect it to increase in the coming days.
What does the Ukrainian incursion into Russian territory, which did not take place without US and Western support and advanced weapons, mean at this time of high tension and the threat of a major regional war?
It means that all that America claims and declares of seeking peace and reducing tension and escalation is nothing but a lie, hypocrisy and gaining time to pass the crimes of the occupying entity and Netanyahu, and gaining time to improve the capabilities of the Ukrainian army. Whoever is interested in world peace and de-escalation does not resort to adopting a policy of unlimited support for Israel, as well as enabling Ukraine, which has lost a third of its territory, to enter Russian territory, and President Putin said it beforehand that if America allows Ukraine to use its advanced weapons to penetrate and attack Russia, we will equip our friends and enemies of America with similar weapons, which inevitably means more escalation, and more portents of a global war.
This communication between Russia, Iran and the Axis of Resistance differs in its dimensions and goals from what was between them before the occupation of Russian lands, and this communication reassures the Axis and serves its interests, and worries Israel a lot.
Does Netanyahu realize the repercussions of this communication and force him to accelerate the agreement with Hamas on its terms?
I don’t think so. He has gone too far in his crimes and is addicted to committing them, with the support of America and the West, and the impotence of UN organizations and the international community.
